PRE-ENGAGEMENT
Evaluation
Gathering, analyzing and evaluating operating and financial data of the business before substantive meetings in order to determine whether our services will be especially valuable.
Initial Visit
If we determine we can offer significant benefit, we hold a one to two day retreat with our prospective client and relevant advisors in our offices. Our goal is to understand their Vision, Values and Goals, unique talents and ultimate goals. To do so, we concentrate on:- The unique needs, desires and internal nuances that greatly impact the essence of the individual and, as a result, the business
- How they made the business successful
- Heightened perceptions of the future condition as well as expanded expectations and horizons
Formulative Engagement
Based on the needs, values and goals gained through our evaluation and understanding, we formulate the engagement, including all fees, deadlines and responsibilities.

Understanding the Company
Gaining a more comprehensive knowledge of the business through:
- Gathering the balance of the pertinent operating and financial data of the business
- Interviewing the entrepreneur to better understand the unique ways in which he or she created the business’ operating methodology and how it evolved to current conditions
- Interviewing key managers and employees to grasp their understanding of the business’ Vision and Values, its ultimate goals, their unique talents and how they personally contribute to its overall success
Analyzing and Testing
Performing a detailed analysis of the company’s operating and financial data compared to industry norms and standards in conjunction with the personal input obtained during the interviews.

Building the Plan
The Integrated Team crafts a comprehensive, dynamic and understandable plan that will “re-connect” the entrepreneur’s Vision, Values and Goals to the business. In doing so, we apply various theories and evaluate possible courses of action, advisors and timelines. While there is no perfect answer, we strive for the optimal impact with a manageable number of initiatives.
Presenting the Preliminary Plan
The plan is presented in a book format, organized according to The Seven Facets and The Four Common Elements. We review with our client the detail of each section, recording every response, clarification, idea and critique in order to further tailor the plan.
Presenting the Enhanced Plan
We present the formal Enhancement Plan of all final findings and recommendations, setting specific timelines and goals for the implementation of our client’s plan.
Implementation
We assign every detail of the plan to the appropriate advisors for immediate implementation through The Advantage Solution, and establish substantive milestones for each Enhancement Initiative.
